Families in Riyadh looking for a housemaid usually search with some urgency. They need help soon, they compare two or three agencies, and they contact whichever one looks trustworthy first. Ashura Maids wanted to be that first contact without spending the way the big agencies do.

The situation

Domestic staffing in Saudi Arabia is a crowded category. Larger agencies bid on every broad term, which pushes click prices up. A lot of the search traffic also comes from people researching visa rules, salaries or job openings rather than looking to hire.

With a modest budget, Ashura couldn't afford to pay for curiosity clicks. Every riyal had to go toward someone who was actually ready to hire.

What I did

  • Built the campaign around intent rather than volume. I focused on searches where the person is clearly ready to hire, and kept the location targeting tight to Riyadh.
  • Cut waste early with negative keywords. Job seekers, visa questions and salary research were filtered out before they could eat the budget.
  • Wrote ads that answer what families actually care about: how quickly they can get help, whether the agency can be trusted, and how to get in touch right now.
  • Set up conversion tracking on the actions that matter, so the bidding was optimizing toward real enquiries instead of cheap clicks.

What happened

The campaign produced 140 conversions from 661 clicks and 14.4K impressions, on a total spend of $567. That works out to about $4.05 per conversion. Roughly one in five people who clicked the ad went on to get in touch.

For a service where a single placement is worth far more than that, those numbers made the decision to keep advertising an easy one.

If you're in a similar spot

A small budget usually isn't the real problem. Spending it on the wrong searches is. If you run a local service business, your cheapest leads will come from being very clear about who you don't want to pay for.
